SHORT STORY OF PT TAMBI - SEJARAH SINGKAT PT TAMBI
In the era of Dutch colonialism in 1865, Tambi Estate whose name was Bagelen Thee and Kina Maatschappij, used to be one of Dutch companies. In Indonesia, this company was managed by NV John Peet whose office was in Jakarta. As the Indonesian revolution war occured, soon this company was taken over by the Indonesian govermment and the workers were appointed to be govermment estate workers afterfard. After the round table conference in 1950, this company was returned to the previous owner, that was Bagelen Thee and Kina Maatschappij. In 1954, this estate was sold to the NV EX PPN Sindoro Sumbing, i.e.the company established by the ex govermment estate workers. In 1957, having a cooperation with the Wonosobo local Govermment, this NV established a new company named NV Tambi that recognized as PT Tambi lately. PT Tambi's now; in the early step to promote the natural beauty of tea plantation as a tourist resort, called Agrowisata Teh Tambi and Agrowisata Teh Tanjungsari.
